Greetings from the East,

I hope you have all had a wonderful summer. September is upon us. We will resume our Thursday evening Ritual Schools on 11 September. We will skip 4 September so you all can watch the Redskins season opener.

Also in September, the Officers will resume wearing tuxedos.

Degree Work: We have three Candidates that we have voted to receive the degrees in Freemasonry who have yet to be initiated. There are two more on which to vote at the September Stated meeting. There are also 3 Entered Apprentices who are practically ready to prove their proficiency and, if approved, passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft.

To manage this wealth of work, I am scheduling a Called Communication on Saturday 13 September for the purpose of conferring the Degree of Entered Apprentice on three candidates. We well open the Lodge on the First Degree of Masonry at 10 am. We will proceed to confer the first section of this degree sequentially rather than concurrently. In other words, we will confer each degree one at a time. We will save the second section and lecture to do concurrently. Please plan to attend our first Ritual School on Thursday, 11 Sept to hear the details and practice the Degree.

I am planning to do a multiple FC conferrals the following Saturday, but will wait until I get more information from coaches until I call the communication.

Don't miss the September Stated Communication. I will be leading a discussion about our dues and whether or not to draft an amendment to our Bylaws to increase them. I need all you opinions and thoughts.
