Occoquan Lodge No. 310 will be sponsoring a blood drive on Saturday July 19, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. We are currently getting people to commit to a time so that we may schedule it accordingly. Who is able to give blood?

Most healthy adults are eligible to donate. Requirements include:

• Good general health

• Minimum weight of 110 pounds

• At least 8 weeks since last blood donation

• No cold, flu or symptoms of illness for at least 3 days

• No history of hepatitis after the age of 11

• At least 17 years of age (no upper age limit)

• No high risk behavior for HIV transmission

• Photo id
