DeMolay International was founded in 1919 as an organization to build better citizens out of young men of good character who believe in God and their fellow man. DeMolay does not advocate a particular creed nor does it attempt to take the place of the home or the church, but rather to supplement them.
The precepts of DeMolay are to uphold the virtues of filial love, to foster reverence for sacred things, to espouse courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness, and patriotism. DeMolay provides a young man with a wholesome environment, worthwhile associates, fun activities and the opportunity to develop leadership and responsibility.
Occoquan Chapter, DeMolay meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Masonic Occoquan Lodge No. 310, 13315 Woodbridge St., Woodbridge, Virginia 22191. Parents are permitted and encouraged to attend the initiations of candidates and attend regular meetings. Occoquan Masonic Lodge also sponsors Job’s Daughters, a youth group for young ladies.
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, or to arrange for a meeting with an interested young man and his parents, please call any DeMolay of Occoquan Chapter or any adult members of the Advisory Council of Occoquan Chapter, listed below.
